The boys are back in town! The reviews are in – we didn’t get cut after our first show!

In this week’s episode, we find our groove (at least we think so) and begin to sound more like a podcast, and less like a yelling match.

The first 30 minutes of the show is dedicated to the New England Patriots loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. We discuss the decision making by the Pats, Brandon LaFell’s route running, the fans leaving before the game was over, and the NFL MVP race.

Unfortunately we have been unable to celebrate a win, with the team losing both games since the podcast began. Hopefully we don’t see this as a trend, or else we may have to cancel ourselves.

After Patriots talk, we shift to MLB Free Agency. We react live to the breaking (as we recorded) news about Ben Zobrist, Starlin Castro, and Shelby Miller.

We go on to talk about the Boston Red Sox moves since the last podcast, and whether or not the Red Sox traded the wrong guy, as Nick Cafardo suggested in his piece in the Boston Globe on Tuesday.

In the final segment of the show, we drop our annual “Final Thoughts”

Conner Grant:

More MLB Hot Stove talk – The haul for Shelby Miller, why the Starlin Castro deal is insignificant, Jose Fernandez.

Josh Weinmann:

Josh’s thoughts on the Arizona Diamondback Uniforms:

We’ll see you next week!
